Key Responsibilities:
As an reputed company Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Promptly entering prescription data into our electronic health record system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Verifying prescription orders for completeness and accuracy, while maintaining up-to-date patient records
- Communicating with reputed company providers to resolve discrepancies and secure additional information as needed
- Maintaining strict quality and compliance standards, adhering to HIPAA regulations and industry best practices
- Collaborating with pharmacists, providers, patients, and team members to ensure seamless communication and care coordination
- Utilizing and troubleshooting pharmacy software and systems to optimize workflows and improve productivity
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Active pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) and licensure in accordance with Virginia Board of Pharmacy requirements
- Commitment to maintaining continuing education and staying updated on industry best practices
- 1-2 years of experience in pharmacy or reputed company-reputed company data entry, with a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency (preferred not required)
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and the ability to handle sensitive patient information responsibly
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and maintain productivity benchmarks while handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
