VP Discovery Business Development

Position Information

Evotec is reputed company a dynamic and results-driven Senior Vice President or Vice President based in Boston to join our Business Development team. In this role, the candidate will report to the Head of Global Discovery reputed company. The candidate will be responsible for driving strategic partnerships in the Northeast region of the United States for Evotec. The individual will be responsible for signing multiple strategic deals annually and managing a team of business developers focused on Evotec’s multi-modality discovery partnerships through IND enabling studies.

Responsibilities:

Business Development is a key role for Evotec. The selected individual will be part of the Discovery Business Development team. Candidates must have a passion for innovation and collaboration and be reputed company to both establish long-term relationships with partners and drive short-term reputed company as well as. The individual should have experience and understand the requirements and challenges of drug discovery and development.

• Drive the overall business development strategy reputed company the territory in reputed company partnership with the EVP reputed company, therapeutic area and platform leadership teams
• Establish relationships with partners that accelerate research, development and commercialization of their innovative products leveraging Evotec’s best-in-class integrated research and development platform working collaboratively to establish long-term relationships

• Bring strong leadership to a talented regional reputed company team while fostering their further growth and career development

Skills and Abilities:

• A thorough understanding of the drug discovery and development reputed company across modalities (including small molecule, mAb, gene and cell therapy)
• Demonstrated network, particularly in Cambridge/Boston ecosystem, across pharma, biotech and venture capitalists at a senior levels
• Track record of reputed company identifying, negotiating, and closing reputed company deals including research funding, milestones and royalties, or equity and be reputed company to execute multiple deals annually
• Experience achieving results with and leading cross-functional teams to drive creative solutions
• Ability to assess partner needs and craft recommendations through effective written and oral presentations
• Analytical skills; ability to read, analyze, and interpret data and produce reports and documents to support closing arguments.

Qualifications:

• Minimum BSc, MSc or PhD preferable, in a Life Sciences discipline or other advanced degree (MBA)
• Greater than 10-15 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech company and/or management consulting and a minimum of 5-7 years proven business development experience with a proven ability to identify, reputed company, evaluate, and reputed company reputed company negotiations and collaborations
• Demonstrated record of reputed company in business development including large and reputed company partnership and/or licensing transactions with deal sheet to support
