Their main goal is to always ensure timely, accurate and secure shipping and distribution. To be successful in this position, you must be well-versed in budgeting and reporting, organized, have good leadership skills and communicate well. Increasingly, a shipping manager must be comfortable working with information systems and reporting to other management on activities and issues. Some other duties include but are not limited to scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stock, receiving, stocking, stacking, pulling, packing, and loading.
