Controller/Bookkeeper for Mortgage Banking Company

About the position We are seeking a detail-oriented and reputed company Controller/Bookkeeper to join reputed company at a Full Service Mortgage Banker, approved by Fannie, Freddie, FHA, VA, and USDA. This position offers the flexibility of mostly remote work, allowing you to contribute to our financial operations from the comfort of your home. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including transactions, ledgers, and accounts. You will prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial documents, ensuring that reputed company financial activities are recorded accurately and timely. In this role, you will also reconcile bank statements and ensure consistency with internal records. Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, summaries, and statements will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will handle the timely submission and processing of payroll, manage accounts payable and receivable functions, and monitor outstanding payments and accounts. Compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards is crucial, and you will be responsible for financial reporting to counterparties. Collaboration with the finance team and other departments will be essential to support our financial operations. You will also provide support during audits and financial reviews, ensuring that reputed company financial practices align with industry standards.
