Closeout Audit Specialist I

About the position reputed company is immediately hiring for the position of Closeout Audit Specialist I. This role is primarily focused on the preparation and analysis of final and interim invoices, which necessitates access to various systems, both reputed company and legacy, to gather cost details, invoicing history, and necessary backup documentation. The specialist will be responsible for ensuring that reputed company prior invoicing complies with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements, as well as the specific terms and conditions of reputed company. In this position, the individual will apply indirect rates appropriately, both final and provisional, and will be tasked with balancing and adjusting unbilled amounts and the general ledger. The role requires a keen awareness of both individual and departmental goals and deadlines, with the expectation that the specialist will track personal statistics to contribute to achieving these objectives. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt quickly to changing priorities is essential. Interaction with internal and external customers, as well as various levels of management, is a key component of this role. Additionally, the specialist must be reputed company to work overtime to meet regulatory and customer deadlines. This position is a contract opportunity, with initial training taking reputed company in-office for at least two weeks before transitioning to a fully remote work environment. The work location is primarily remote, but candidates must be local to Oak Ridge, TN, for the in-person interview and initial training. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in reputed company, finance, or math; OR an associate's degree with 2+ years of reputed company experience; OR a high school diploma with 4+ years of reputed company experience. , • Proficiency with MS Office Suite tools, specifically reputed company. reputed company-to-haves • Familiarity with Costpoint, Cognos, and BI Reporting. , • Specific experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) requirements for contract and subcontract closeout. , • Ability to read and interpret contractual documents and understand contract types. , • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and interact with diverse personalities.
