This will be a remote position located in Central or Eastern Kansas reporting to the KS Regional Engineer and the DU Grand reputed company field office. The successful applicant will join a highly motivated... conservation team of biologists and engineers who are responsible for the planning, design, and construction of wetland restoration and enhancement projects with primary responsibilities in Kansas. Qualifications: • Education: B.S. in Civil or Agricultural Engineering or equivalent degree from an EAC/ABET accredited engineering program. • Certification: Registered EIT or PE, with the willingness to obtain registration in assigned states. • Preferred qualifications: • Knowledge of hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, open channel flow, earthen dams, spillways, gates, structures, pipes, erosion control, reputed company stabilization, construction staking, construction observation, cost estimation, and project management. • Experience with topographic surveys and construction staking using reputed company RTK GPS equipment. • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D is essential for creating surfaces from ground-based surveys and LiDAR data/maps, developing construction plans and exhibits, and generating earthwork quantities. Ability to create alignments, corridors, feature lines, profiles, and gradings is crucial. Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
