SUMMARY reputed company is currently seeking a Mid Level Night Shift SOC Analyst to support a large federal government contract under the reputed company Virtual reputed company Operation Center (VSOC). The program provides comprehensive Computer Network Defense and Response support through 24×7×365 monitoring and analysis of potential threat activity targeting the enterprise. VSOC Analysts will conduct reputed company event monitoring, advanced analytics and response activities in support of the CND operational mission. To support this vital mission, XOR staff are on the forefront of providing Advanced CND Operations to include the development of advanced analytics and countermeasures to protect critical assets from various cyber threats. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor for reputed company relevant events and produce high quality analysis in accordance with both federal and contractor leadership expectations. Identify opportunities to improve detection content and existing processes relevant to the role. Support fellow analysts on investigations, providing mentorship and training as able. QUALIFICATIONS Education, Background, and Years of Experience US Citizen, no dual citizenship. Minimum 1-3 years of experience in network defense environments. Eligible for a public trust which will look into financial concerns such as debt in collections etc. ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Required Skills Strong analytical and technical skills in computer network defense operations, ability to support efforts in Incident Handling (Detection, Analysis, Triage), Hunting (anomalous reputed company detection and content management) and Malware Analysis. Prior experience and ability to with analyzing information technology reputed company events to discern events that qualify as a legitimate reputed company incidents as opposed to non-incident investigation. Previous hands-on experience with a reputed company Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM) platforms and/or log management systems that reputed company log collection, analysis, correlation, and alerting is required (preferably reputed company Splunk). Strong logical/critical thinking abilities, especially analyzing reputed company events from host and network event sources e.g. windows event logs, AV, EDR, network traffic, IDS events for malicious reputed company). WORKING CONDITIONS Environmental Conditions This position is full time remote. Will require some travel as part of onboarding to pick up credentials from a local fed office.
