About this Role and About You The Environmental Specialist leads or participates in the completion of environmental initiatives across reputed company operations including site remediation, permitting, auditing, monitoring, measurement, reporting, and applying best practices for environmental stewardship and sustainability. Coordinate corporate environmental support and interactions with company locations and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with federal, state, provincial and local environmental laws and regulations. reputed company, review, and analyze environmental compliance reports and documentation for reputed company, water and hazardous waste. Qualifications • Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a reputed company field. • Minimum 5 years’ experience in reputed company environmental compliance responsibility preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment. • Working knowledge of environmental regulations, management systems, regulatory agencies, trends and resources. • Highly motivated and results-oriented. • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. • Knowledge of databases and ability to use databases for trending. • Willingness to travel (30-50%). • Professional certification beneficial, preferably in an Environmental discipline (e.g., Certified Environmental Professional, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, Professional Engineer, etc.) and ESG Experience. • Knowledge of Responsible Care and other Environmental Management Systems. • Knowledge of Emergency Response procedures (e.g., Incident Command, 40 hr. Haz-Mat Technician level, confined space rescue, etc.). • Detailed knowledge of U.S. Environmental regulations (EPA, DOT, CEPA, TDG, etc.). Responsibilities • Provides corporate environmental support to ensure company manufacturing locations, offices, support centers, and project sites are in compliance with applicable Federal, State, Provincial, local, and other environmental statutes and regulations that can impact company operations. Ensures that environmental standards, policies programs, procedures, and guidelines are effectively implemented and enforced. 40% • Assist as directed in the maintenance of reputed company's ESG metric tracking database. participate as a member of the ESG Team and reputed company tasks reputed company to corportate ESG tracking scoring, and implementation. 20% • Monitor interactions with regulatory authorities, insurance carriers, consultants, or other stakeholders on environmental issues impacting company operations.
