Remote Instructional Design Manager

Our client is a premier online education platform seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Instructional Design Manager to lead our instructional design team. This is a fully remote, leadership position responsible for overseeing the creation, development, and implementation of engaging and effective online learning experiences. You will manage a team of instructional designers, ensuring high-quality standards in course content, learning activities, and assessment strategies across all programs. Responsibilities include guiding the team in applying adult learning principles, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and utilizing various authoring tools and technologies. The manager will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, curriculum developers, and stakeholders to translate complex information into accessible and interactive learning modules. Strategic planning for future curriculum needs, managing project timelines, and ensuring adherence to budget are also key aspects of this role. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field. A minimum of eight years of experience in instructional design, with at least three years in a management or team lead capacity, is required. Proven experience in leading remote teams and managing complex instructional design projects in a virtual environment is essential. Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills are critical. Familiarity with learning management systems, multimedia development tools, and current trends in online education is expected.
