Responsibilities

Assist in managing day-to-day activities of the software engineering team, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to support their professional growth. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and create technical roadmaps. Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable software solutions. Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, quality standards, and coding guidelines. Participate in troubleshooting and resolving software issues to maintain system performance and reliability. Promote the adoption of agile methodologies and contribute to continuous process improvements. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components. Prepare and present project status updates to leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 1+ years in a team leadership role. Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as C#, Java, or Python, and relevant frameworks. Experience with modern software development methodologies, including Agile or Scrum. Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS,GCP) and containerization technologies like Docker. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to scalability and performance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Familiarity with version control systems like Git and CI/CD tools for deployment automation. A proactive approach to leadership, fostering a positive and inclusive team environment. The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $120,000 - 150,000. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
