The Job Details: The Brokerage Logistics Coordinator 1 is responsible for effectively selecting means to plan profitable and efficient means of transportation for our customers participating in the USCS Logistics Brokerage The Brokerage Logistics Coordinator 1 is responsible for effectively negotiating rates and the efficient scheduling and routing of delivery vehicles. Responsibilities: •Independently manage the profitability and service of assigned lanes through daily planning and decision making •Individually responsible for the profitability of 400k to 1 million in revenue per month •Direct communication with customers to solve problems and plan effective freight •Effectively select means to plan profitable and efficient single stop and multi stop temperature-controlled trucks •Price and procure carriers for brokerage department •Drive sales and growth in the brokerage department •Independently plan, organize, and control activities related to transportation with little to no interaction from management •Answer requests for proposals and orders from customers •Onboarding new carriers through carrier management system •Utilizing load boards to procure carriers •Knowledge of refrigerated carrier market pricing and where to seek it •Ability to interact professionally with customers and carriers daily •Receive and confirm orders for transportation •Organize transportation in the best conditions, in respect to the quality and the company's timekeeping standards •Find optimal solutions for transport and communicate solutions to customers •Establish relationships with clients in pursuit of sustainable business relationships •Negotiate spot rates with outside carriers to decide effective and profitable means of transportation •Responsible for the tracking and tracing of shipments with contracted carriers. •Coordinate with warehouse schedulers to ensure timely shipping •Respect the law on road traffic public, domestic and international traffic of goods •Direct carriers for loading and unloading of consignments, goods and means of transport •Effectively communicate load details with outside carriers What We Are Looking For: The Ideal candidate will have or be able to complete the below qualifications. Education •Bachelor’s degree and or 3+ years of equivalent Logistics experience Experience •PC, leadership and planning skills helpful. •Experience in AS400, RMIS, TMS, Word, Excel, Online Scheduling Systems, and Power Point a plus. •Experience with warehouse paperwork a plus. •Ability to thrive in a constantly changing chaotic environment and consistently meet tight timeline. •Ability to coordinate with contracted trucking dispatchers and drivers The Job Specifics: ·Location and Department: Camden, NJ/ Logistics ·Reports To: General Manager Logistics ·Travel Amount: Minimum ·Job Type, EEO, and Job Code: Standard ·Salaried/Hourly, Semi-Monthly/Biweekly Paid: Semi Monthly Paid · Hourly Range: $24-$28 an hour Other Abilities You Will Need to Have: •Good arithmetic, reading, and typing skills •Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time •Be able to see, speak and hear •Ability to work overtime as needed •May require physical effort associated with using the computer to access information, or occasional standing, walking, lifting needed to carry out everyday activities. •Understand and follow verbal instruction, written instruction and company policies. •A starter that can work independently and coordinate with others •Follow safety procedures at all times. •Ability to manage stress and productivity guidelines What’s In It for You: We are a great company with great people.
