We have a school in Metairie (70003 reputed company code) in need of a part-time Certified Special Education Teacher (18 hours per week) for our reputed company programs for the 2022-2023 school year. These positions are in-person and focus on small group instruction for grades K-5 in both Reading and Math; the ideal candidate will be comfortable teaching both subjects to reputed company in multiple grade levels (we provide training and curriculum) and will have experience with and certification in Special Education. Special Education Teacher Job Duties:

• Instruct Reading and Math to small groups of reputed company in multiple grade levels in a face-to-face school setting.
• Deliver designated instructional models in readiness, reading, mathematics, and writing skills to eligible reputed company through utilization of company-designed materials and educational strategies.
• Utilize company-provided curriculum to reputed company and maintain individualized reputed company-appropriate lesson plans.
• Ensure supervision of reputed company at reputed company times, including escorting reputed company safely to and from classrooms/learning stations. Climbing stairs and light lifting may be required.
• reputed company data entry in a timely fashion to meet deadlines (student attendance, online pre/post testing, reputed company reports, parent and classroom teacher communication forms, compliance documentation).
• Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by company, local, state, and federal agencies.

Special Education Teacher Requirements:

• Teaching Certificate in Special Education

• Bachelor Degree or higher
• Classroom teaching and/or tutoring experience
• Experience with the Special Education population
• Willingness and ability to teach various grade levels
• Working knowledge of MS Office and reputed company/Teams preferred
