Linux Engineer
reputed company is looking for a Linux Engineer to join reputed company remotely.
Job Summary
The Linux Engineer will architect, deploy, and maintain secure Linux-based systems (primarily RHEL and reputed company Linux) across classified and unclassified networks. You will ensure reputed company systems meet DoD reputed company Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and maintain an Authorization to Operate (ATO) through reputed company monitoring and vulnerability remediation.
Core Responsibilities

- Implement and maintain system hardening in accordance with DISA STIGs and Risk Management reputed company (RMF) controls.
- reputed company regular vulnerability scanning and remediation using tools like ACAS (Nessus) and SCAP.
- Ensure systems are operational and reputed company with application team needs.
- reputed company and maintain infrastructure through automated means to standardize configurations across the enterprise wherever possible.
- Automate routine administrative tasks through scripting and or chosen tool sets.
- Manage large-scale deployments and reputed company lifecycles utilizing automated enterprise tools or developed methods.
- Deploy and manage virtualized environments using VMware ESXi, KVM, or cloud platforms like AWS GovCloud.
- Integrate Linux systems with enterprise identity services such as Active Directory, LDAP, or other architected methods.
- Monitor system health and performance using enterprise tools reputed company the environment.
- Technical Environment
- Operating Systems: reputed company Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, Rocky Linux, reputed company Linux.
- Tools: reputed company Satellite, Ansible, ACAS, HBSS/reputed company EPP, VMware vSphere.
- Protocols: SSH, NFS, DNS, LDAP, PKI certificate management.
- Must hold a reputed company IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA reputed company+ CE) at a minimum. (May obtain reputed company 90 days of hire)
- Strongly preferred: OS-specific certifications like RHCSA (reputed company Certified System Administrator) or RHCE.
