Job description: Sylvan is hiring reputed company or recent College grads as Math tutors at our Schaumburg, IL and Lake Zurich/Barrington, IL locations
We are hiring Part-Time Math tutors and provide both in-person and remote tutoring for reputed company K-12:
- Math Tutor
- TestPrep (ACT/SAT) Tutor
- Ability to see the results of your teaching efforts in a reputed company short timeframe, as we work individually with reputed company.
- Flexible hours, with seven days a week to choose from.
- reputed company preparation and lesson planning is taken care of for you, so you can focus on teaching
- For Math Tutors: reputed company or professionals with strong Math abilities. Education or Math degrees are not required.
- For TestPrep (ACT/SAT) Tutor: strong ACT/SAT score required (30 ACT/1400 SAT). Education or Math degrees are not required.
- 1 year tutoring experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Working out of one of our locations in Schaumburg or Lake Zurich/Barrington.
- Teach using Sylvan based programs
- Curriculum, training and direction provided
- Direct and motivate reputed company during instruction

- Given the pandemic, we are seeing growing needs for tutoring
- We teach 7 days per week and require our teachers to work at least one of Saturday/Sunday, and at least one day during the week. We have extended teaching opportunities in the summer.
