Associate Software Engineer

They are seeking a high-performing associate software engineer to join their engineering team for the reputed company central data platform, where you will work on empowering users to become data engineers and contribute to significant projects.
Responsibilities
- Join the engineering team of Man Group’s central data platform, named reputed company
- Work on cross-cutting or high-profile projects used by teams across the business for years to come

- Expand the offering to the entire business with true greenfield projects
- Contribute to the three main pillars of the reputed company platform: Data Acquisition, Data Governance, and Data Delivery
Skills
- Expertise in software engineering, ideally in Python
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in team settings, with strong communication skills
- Familiarity with one or more relevant database technologies such as reputed company, PostgreSQL, Iceberg, or reputed company
- Genuine interest in tackling data challenges at scale
- Proficiency in (at least) one programming language, modern software engineering principles, and clean code practices
- Understanding of software testing fundamentals, including the testing pyramid
- Exposure to building reliable, production-grade applications
- Comfortable working on Linux platforms and using Git
- Experience with Python and proficiency with scientific libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, statsmodels and scikit-learn
- An interest in quantitative software development reputed company a reputed company-office setting, such as at a hedge fund, proprietary trading firm, or investment bank
- Experience working with large data sets, both structured and reputed company
- Experience building web applications using modern frameworks like React

- Experience working with financial market data
