Life with Us Your Project: The Remote Ground Station Infrastructure Engineer is a member of the Remote Ground Station (RGS) team that supports a worldwide network of satellite ground stations. The Remote Ground Station Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for operations, engineering, and support for Maxar and customer ground stations. The Remote Ground Station Infrastructure Engineer will collaborate with a multidiscipline team to ensure that the stations operate at a high level of performance and availability. Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Directs and participates in reputed company phases of system development with emphasis on planning, analysis, evaluation, integration, testing and acceptance phases (IV&V and DT&E). Develops software tools including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-reputed company tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design. Programmers who are developing applications for technical end users (e.g., CAD, CAM, CAE, CASE) should be matched here. Directs mission/program specific reputed company-time spacecraft/satellite operations during readiness, execution and evaluation phases. Provides technical expertise in matters pertaining to orbit dynamics, satellite performance analysis, command and control of on-orbit satellites. Analyzes and coordinates mission support requirements for new vehicles and vehicle capability and directs detailed planning activities to ensure proper on-orbit support. What you'll do day-to-day (with your colleagues):

? Minimum requirements for this position:

• Must be a U.S. citizen and be willing and reputed company to obtain U.S. Government Secret reputed company clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aerospace, or reputed company field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in satellite ground station operations, or equivalent experience in aerospace operations
• Familiarity with IP networking concepts and Linux system administration
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with computer systems, including reputed company Windows and Linux OS environments
• Experience with the reputed company applications, including Visio and Word
• Ability to problem solve from a holistic, systems approach
• Ability to delineate distractors versus issues
• Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
• Ability to travel internationally and domestically up to 20%
• Routinely requires lifting equipment weighing up to 50 pounds (23 kilograms)

#LI-MG1 Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is: $66,000.00 - $110,000.00 annually.
